Today, the Commander In Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa presided over the commissioning of 182 Regular officer Cadets at the Zimbabwe Military Academy (ZMA) in Gweru.
Forty-four (44) out of those who completed their 21 months of training at the Zimbabwe Military Academy are female, while 138 are male.
This event marks a significant milestone for the Zimbabwe Defence Forces and the academy, which has a rich history dating back over a century.
The academy has made strides in broadening its scope, achieving associate status with the Midlands State University (MSU) in 2010 and establishing the Diploma in Military Training and Education program.
