President Emmerson Mnangagwa has appointed three more Deputy Ministers.
According to a statement from Acting Chief Secretary Dr. Martin Rushwaya, Hon. Polite Kambamura has been named Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Development. Hon. Chido Sanyatwe will serve as Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage. Hon. Roy Bhila takes on the role of Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce.
The announcement comes after President Mnangagwa revealed his full Cabinet last week. This included new faces as well as retaining and reassigning some existing ministers.
Hon. Kambamura represents the constituency of Sanyati in Mashonaland West Province. Hon. Sanyatwe is the MP for Nyanga North Constituency. Hon. Bhila serves as MP for Chiredzi North Constituency.
The addition of these deputy ministerial roles will provide further support to the respective ministries. It signals President Mnangagwa’s ongoing efforts to round out his leadership team following his appointment of Cabinet members last week.
The deputies will work closely with their ministerial colleagues to advance priorities around economic development, industry, mining, governance and national heritage in Zimbabwe.
