DESPITE reducing the gap separating them and log leaders Ngezi Platinum, FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza has refuted to get angry, maintaining a cautious approach as the title race heats up.
FC Platinum defeated Ngezi Platinum 1-0 on Saturday, to reduce the gap to five points as they swiftly moved to second position.
They also benefitted from Highlanders’ 3-0 defeat to Simba Bhora on the same day.
FC Platinum is the league’s most in-form side having won all of its last five matches.
Mapeza has refused to put pressure on his players at this crucial point of the race.
“What is important for us is to keep grinding results,” he said. “We only have to take each game as it comes.
“We don’t play football to lose, of course it happens, but at the end we want to win. Draws happen but everywhere we go, we play to win.
“It’s not like this game against Ngezi will change the complexion of the log standings.
