Zimbabweans on social media are thrilled after gospel musician Kudzi Nyakudya performed at the CCC rally in Harare.
The Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) hosted its final rally at Robert Mugabe Square, formerly known as Freedom Square, in Harare. The rally will be the party’s last before the 2023 election on Wednesday, 23 August.
In last year’s run-up to the by-election, Zimdancehall musician Ricky Fire performed at all the party’s rallies, rocking varying yellow stylish costumes. However, he startled Zimbos last week when a video showed him dining and feasting at a meeting organised by ZANU PF youths.

With artists like Enzo Ishall, Fantan and Holy Ten having thrown their support to ZANU PF and President Emmerson Mnangagwa, gospel artist Kudzi Nyakudya made a surprise appearance at the CCC rally in Harare today.
The Ndiyeyu Jesu hitmaker took to the stage and uplifted the spirits of those in attendance with his recent and yesteryear songs.
In his performance, he sang, “Lead us to Canaan/Famba nesu ku Canaan” and threw in “mukomana ngaapinde hake,” a chant synonymous with the CCC.
