Premier League club, Newcastle United, are considering a move for Bayer Leverkusen forward, Victor Boniface.
Boniface joined Bundesliga outfit, Bayer Leverkusen from Belgian Pro League club, Union St Gilloise for €12m this summer.
The well-built striker has caught the eye after netting nine times and providing three assists in 10 games for Bayer Leverkusen.
According to The Sun, Newcastle United’s scouts watched him play in Portugal for Nigeria in the friendly against Saudi Arabia last weekend.
The 22-year-old didn’t score but was a handful against the Saudis, causing problems in their backline which forced an own-goal.
Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe is keen on adding some physicality to his frontline and sees Boniface as a top target who would complement the likes of Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson.
