The Zimbabwean man who m_rdered and k!lled his employer and her nine-year-old son in cold blood has refused legal representation and has opted to defend himself in his m_rder case.
37- year-old Pardon Danhire, a Zimbabwean national who was plying his trade as a gardener, was arrested for m_rder after he k!lled his employer Nadine Terblanche (32) and her son Ruandré Vorster (9).
Danhire reportedly used an axe to m_rder them their own home on the 27th of November.
Nadine and her nine-year-old son were found with bruises and injuries on their bodies, and they were both declared d3ad on the scene.
Nadine’s boyfriend, who found their bodies is lucky to be alive as Danhire also tried to attack him with an axe. After evading him, he quickly alerted CPS Security, who responded swiftly and apprehended Danhire.
He is facing a double m_rder charge. Meanwhile, motive for the m_rder has not yet been established.
Pardon Danhire, appeared in the District Criminal Court at Palmridge Magistrate Court on November 30 in connection with the m_rder of his employer and her nine-year-old son.
During his court appearance, Pardon Danhire adamantly told Magistrate D Booysen in the packed Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court that he didn’t want a lawyer to represent him.
According to source, despite a magistrate calling on Danhire to use legal counsel, he insisted on conducting his own defence.
Additionally, Danhire declared that he did not wish to be released on bail and consequently abandoned his bail application. Danhire remains in custody as the legal process unfolds.
The case has been postponed to January 3, 2024, for further investigation.
