Contoversal rapper Maskiri is facing heavy criticism after he released four tribute songs for Zimbabwean journalist Violet Avoid.
Maskiri has dedicated four tribute songs to Violet Avoid who made headlines recently after she was alleged to have d!ed. Violet Avoid, a Zimbabwean journalist based in the Philippines, was initially reported to have committed su!cide.
However, her husband later dismissed these reports, confirming that his wife, Violet, was indeed alive. He revealed that she was battling for her life in the hospital due to food po!soning.”
Maskiri’s dedication songs were reposted on Violet’s YouTube account. The rapper released four dedication songs titled ‘Violet Avoid Musavadha,’ ‘It’s All About Love,’ ‘Fire Place naAvylet,’ and ‘Power.’ One of the videos shared on Violet’s page was captioned with a message of gratitude to Maskiri.
“It’s heartwarming to hear that despite Violet’s challenging battle for her life, hip hop artist Maskiri Music has expressed his affection and support by composing love songs for Violet Avoid. This gesture showcases the immense power of music to offer solace and encouragement during difficult times. Maskiri dedication to creating music that uplifts and sends love to Violet reflects a profound level of caring and empathy.”
Maskiri’s thoughtful gesture however failed to impress netizens. Instead, social media users mocked him saying that his career is de@d and that he should focus on other things, not music. Netizens labelled him a clout chaser.
