Zimbabwe’s former deputy prime minister Professor Arthur Mutambara says the country should close ranks and find a pathway to the future based on free, fair and credible elections.
He also says Zimbabwe need to “cure the cancer” of disputed elections to move forward.
Says Mutambara: “Here we go again. The cycle of disputed elections continues. We must come together as a nation and cure this cancer. We must devise a way to conduct free, fair and credible elections.”
Mutambara also says the main opposition CCC and its leader Nelson Chamisa, whom he has described as the bona fide opposition, deserve respect for putting a great fight against a repressive and brutal regime.
“Respect must go to President Chamisa and CCC for fighting a great fight – Against all Odds.”
