In a disturbing turn of events, a woman identified as Lydia Phiri (38) has been accused of brutally ass@ulting Cynthia Ziware (37) to the point of de@th. The incident took place in Village 20B Tom Dryer, Sanyati, and was reported by the police on November 24, 2023.
According to a statement from the authorities, Lydia Phiri has been arrested by the Sanyati police in connection with the m_rder case. The victim, Cynthia Ziware, tragically succumbed to her injuries on December 2. The statement revealed that Lydia Phiri allegedly attacked Cynthia Ziware with a combination of sticks and stones, fuelled by her suspicion that the victim was involved in an affair with her husband.
The assault inflicted severe head injuries upon Cynthia Ziware, ultimately leading to her untimely demise. The shocking incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, highlighting the devastating consequences of jealousy and unresolved conflicts.
“Police in Sanyati have arrested Lydia Phiri (38) in connection with a case of m_rder which occurred in Village 20B Tom Dryer, Sanyati in which Cynthia Ziware (37) d!ed on 02/12/23. The suspect had allegedly ass@ulted the victim on 24/11/23 using a stick and stones after having accused the victim of having an affair with her husband. The victim sustained some head injuries which led to her de@th,” reads the statement.
