The sad news was shared by Nyabinde’s family on his Facebook page this Saturday. The family posted pictures with a heartfelt caption, bidding farewell to the great songwriter and Jazz Legend, saying,
“The great songwriter has fallen. Go well, Jazz Legend. Sing with the angels.”
Fans flooded the comments section, expressing their deepest condolences to the family and wishing Nyabinde eternal rest.
Battle Against Diabetes and Sudden Setback

Although details about Nyabinde’s death were unclear at the time of writing, it’s known that the Afro-Jazz maestro, who had been bravely battling diabetes, faced a significant setback when he collapsed in October this year, sustaining a hip injury in the process.
After the collapse, Nyabinde was swiftly taken to an undisclosed medical facility in Harare. At the time, reports indicated that the musician was in a critical condition.
Touching Fundraising Efforts
In response to the challenging situation, event organizers Partson “Chipaz” Chimbodza and Josh Hozheri initiated a touching effort. They mobilized members of the entertainment industry for a fundraising event at Sherwood Golf Club in Mabelreign.
Their efforts raised an impressive US$4000, with promoters and colleagues contributing US$2000 in cash, and another US$2000 through pledges.
Updating the public on Nyabinde’s health at the time, Josh Hozheri expressed deep concern, emphasizing the severity of the situation. He announced the postponement of the launch of Nyabinde’s book written by Munyaradzi Huni until the musician had sufficiently recovered. Hozheri earnestly called on Nyabinde’s family and supporters to join in prayer, hoping for divine intervention.
