After a year of mourning her late husband, the late Big Nuz frontman Mampintsha, the self-proclaimed Queen of Gqom, Babes Wodumo, has reportedly found love, as she is now romantically linked to kwaito wordsmith, Sabelo Zuma.
Wodumo was married to ‘Mampintsha’ until his passing in December 2022.
Wodumo reportedly hooked up with Zuma last year, with the duo reportedly spotted together around Mzansi.
Zuma, who is one half of the now defunct duo Amaroto, is reportedly helping Wodumo revive her career after the death of Mampintsha.
The couple first sparked rumours of a romance late last year when they were spotted together at a music festival. Since then, they have been seen together at several events and have even attended parties together.
According to a source that spoke to Zimoja, Wodumo feels that after a year of mourning her husband, as per tradition, it is now fine for her to move on with her love life.
“She is young and is allowed to move on with her life. She has done her part and mourned her husband for a year,” adds the source.
The couple has also reportedly brushed off concerns about the age gap between them. Babes Wodumo is 28 while her lover is 25 years old.
Both musicians’ camps declined the light to shed any light on the relationship when asked to comment. Telly Africa
