27-year-old man Marlon Balaka from Glen Norah, Harare appeared at the Harare Magistrate Courts on Saturday facing m_rder charges.
Allegations are that in December last year, Balaka together with his accomplices who are already on remand proceeded to Chitubu Council bar, Glen Norah, Harare armed with knives.
The court heard that the gang gained entry into the bar premises through scaling over a pre cast wall where they allegedly st@bbed a now deceased security guard at the bar once in the back and twice on the head before stealing undisclosed items.
The victim d!ed upon arrival at a local hospital.
Balaka was arrested on the 8th of this month after the Police received a tip off from the public.
The suspect was advised to apply for bail at the High court.
In another case, Susan Sibanda is in trouble for allegedly duping unsuspecting land seekers more than US$21 000 in a botched land deal.
It is the State’s case that from period extending from 2018 to date the accused person working together with one Washaya advertised to the unsuspecting home seekers that they were selling land.
It emerged that through her fraudulent means she managed to lure 149 desperate land seekers who paid more than US$21 000 collectively.
Sibanda was remanded in custody and she will be back in court on Monday for bail application.
