Former Kaizer Chiefs Star Khama Billiat Set to Sign with Dynamos FC
In an unexpected development, former Kaizer Chiefs Football Club forward Khama Billiat is expected to make a return to the football field after being announced as a new signing for a Zimbabwean club later this week.
Since bidding goodbye to South African giants Kaizer Chiefs in June last year, Billiat has been without a club.
He turned down a contract extension from Chiefs which could have seen him earn less than he previously did and hasn’t found common ground with other South African clubs, despite rumoured interest from SuperSport, Cape Town City, and Richards Bay.

Now, according to The Herald, Khama Billiat is making a return to Zimbabwe with Dynamos Football Club being his new home. Word on the street is that Billiat will touchdown in the country on Thursday and head straight to Dynamos to finalise the deal.
A source disclosed that Khama Billiat and Dynamos have hammered out a sweet deal, making him the top earner in the league. If all goes according to plan, Billiat might even grace the pitch for Dynamos’ season opener against Ngezi Platinum Stars on February 24, donning the Jersey Number 12.
A reliable source at the Glamour Boys spilled the beans on Tuesday, confirming that the deal with Billiat is as good as done.
“It’s almost done. If you recall well, Dynamos have previously tried to sound Billiat out but it has been all in vain. But early this week, Billiat sent an emissary to the club and a contract for him has since been prepared. Billiat will be in the country on Thursday (tomorrow) to conclude the deal. He will wear Jersey Number 12,” the source said.
In related news, Kuda Mahachi, who was recently released by Ghana Premiership side Medeama just five months into a 12-month contract, is also poised to join Dynamos.
Mahachi, who’s previously showcased his skills with Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport in South Africa, found himself out in the cold after his former club, Chicken Inn, closed its doors on him.
Reports suggest that Mahachi is in talks with key Dynamos figures who’ve given him the green light to negotiate terms with the team. The Herald reports that Mahachi will receive a salary package matching that of the club’s top earners.
