A Gweru-based man was sentenced to three years behind bars last week for having s3x with a minor.
Talent Mpofu (27) was sentenced by Gweru magistrate Nixon Mangoti on Thursday.
Mpofu was @ccused of viOlating Section 70 of the Criminal Law and Codification Act.
He will, however, serve two years behind bars after Mangoti suspended one year of his sentence.
The court heard that sometime in March, Mpofu prop0sed lov3 to a 15-year-old girl.
Mpofu allegedly later lured her to his house where he had s3xu@l int3rc0urse with her several times.
Mpofu later persuaded the girl to 3l0pe to his younger brother to cover up for his criminal act.
The girl told her mother about the whole incident and a police report was filed leading to the arrest of Mpofu.
