Annah Mutandagayi, Cloe’s grandmother, told source :
“The electric shock started yesterday (Monday), but it was not that powerful. Some of the neighbours felt it.
“I had no idea that it would take my granddaughter’s life.”
The pain was clear in the grandmother’s voice as she remembered Chloe ,a young girl taken away too soon.It was heartbreaking to hear her speak of the life that Chloe would never get to live.
The grandmother also expressed remorse that she did not notice the potential danger of the n@ked live wires. She said that if she had been more vigilant , she might have been able to prevent the tragic @ccident from happening.
“Her body was taken to Norton Hospital, the power was illegally connected to a car wash and a barbershop.
“ZETDC visited the site and confirmed that the connections were unauthorised and unsafe.
“They cut off the power to the house, to prevent further tragedy.” she added
“The investigations must continue to bring justice for Cloe and her family and to ensure that this kind of tragedy never happens again.” an eye witness said.
However people are urged to be aware of potential hazards in their surroundings and taking appropriate safety precautions so as to minimize similar @ccidents.
