TWO women from Madzibaba Ishmael’s apostolic sect who are facing allegations of hum@n tr@ff!cking have been released on US$50 bail by Harare magistrate Mr Donald Ndirowei.
Danani Tigere(56) and Veronica Chitanda who are descendants of the Johane Masowe eChishanu sect led by Ishmael Chokuromgerwa are facing hum@n tr@fficking charges.
It is believed that on 13 March ,Madzibaba Ishmael and his eleven accomplices wrer arrested by police for run afoul the Burial and Cremation Act and Children’s Act art Plot Number 6 Lily Farm.
It is further alleged that on March 28, police received information that the duo was harbouring people suspected to be from Madzibaba Ishmael Chokurongerwa’s sect at house number 40 Ngamera Street, Mufakose Harare.
On the raid done on March 29 at 3am the Zimbabwe Republic Police at Tigere’s residence they were able to rescue Previous Zogara(20), Precious Tichaona (20), Memory Matanga (19), Rutendo Chimuti (24), Vimbai Mufani (21), Melody Chirinda (20), Nomusa Tichaona (18) and two minors.
In an interview ,the suspects failed to give a adequate answers to their main objective of keeping nine ,leading to their immediate arrest.
