MAJOR roads in Harare that had been closed for massive rehabilitation ahead of the 44th Southern African Development Community (SADC) Heads of State and Government Summit scheduled to be held in Harare in August. On going rehabilitation has been going smoothly as the roads along Julius Nyerere almost finished.
In a post seen by Newsreportzim.com Application of Bituminous Stabilized Base is in progress along Julius Nyerere way (Harare CBD) between the intersections of Samora Machel and Nelson Mandela.

Bituminous stabilized base consists of a blend of aggregates such as crushed stone, gravel & bitumen. The mixture is compacted and serves as a foundation layer for the road. This improves strength & stability and the road will be moisture resistant, among other several advantages
