Tapiwanashe Sale, a 19-year-old teenager, was arr3sted in Harare’s CBD for allegedly selling crystal meth, also known as Mutoriro.
Newsreportzim has learnt about this !ncident from a tweet posted by Crime Watch Zimbabwe.
However, Sale has claimed that he was actually selling salt and not the prohibited dr+g. According to him, his intention was to deceive customers into believing that the salt was crystal meth.
While it is unclear what exactly transpired, it is important to note that dr+g use and dr+g dealing are serious issues that can have devastating effects on individuals and communities.
These effects include mental illness and conviction.
The authorities in Zimbabwe have been cracking down on dr+g dealing, with over 3,000 dr+g dealers arr3sted nationwide in recent years.
