The police in KwaZulu Natal have launched a manhunt for a g+nman who opened fir3 at four women, k!lling one instantly in Durban. Three vict!ms are f!ghting for their lives in hospital after the sh00ting on Sunday afternoon.
KZN police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda said four women of Asian origin were sitting in one room of their rented house when a male companion, also of Asian origin, arrived and the women reportedly asked him to give them a lift to the nearby shopping centre.
“When the women and their male friend were getting inside the vehicle, another man also of the same nationality, emerged from inside the house and fir3d sh0ts. One woman sustained f@tal g+nshot wounds and was declared d3ad at the scene, whereas the other women were rushed to hospital in a critical condition,’ Netshiunda said.
He added that the male companion escaped unh@rmed. “Investigations are underway to establish the motive of the sh00ting as well as the relation between the suspect and the v!ctims,” he said.
Meanwhile, a 41-year-old man from Nelspruit in Mpumalanga who was sought by the police in connection with his wife’s murd3r and attempted murd3r of his two daughters has been arr3sted after being on the run for over a week.
It’s alleged that the man st@bbed his wife and his two daughters after a domestic dispute and the wife d!ed on the scene while the kids were rushed to hospital where they are still in critical condition.
Mpumalanga SAPS spokesperson Colonel Donald Mdhluli said Mandla Mnisi appeared at Nelspruit Magistrates Court yesterday and the case was postponed to 0 May 2024 where he is expected to make an apllication for bail. He was remanded in custody.
