The Presidential amnesty beneficiaries,Evans Mupamhanga (25) and his brother Elvis (21) have been rearrested after allegedly m-rd3ring their uncle.The suspects only enjoyed six days of freedom folowing the Presidential amnesty which took place on 17 April as the country battles to decongest the prisons.
It is alleged that the suspects were @ttacked by 10 unknown men on the same day they brutally murd3red their Uncle .The suspects are currently battling for their lives at Gokwe South District Hospital under police guard.

Two siblings who benefited from the recent Presidential amnesty have been rearrested after six days of freedom for allegedly brutally murd3ring their uncle. Evans Mupamhanga (25) and his brother Elvis (21), both from Farm 21, Chemagora area in Gokwe South, are now battling for their lives at Gokwe South District Hospital under police guard. They were @ttacked by 10 unknown men on the same day they had allegedly k!lled their uncle, Kiddny (62), in a suspected revenge @ttack.
Evans and Elvis were released from Gokwe Prison under Presidential Amnesty on April 17 as the country battles to decongest the prisons. Midlands Province police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, confirmed the murd3r, which he said occurred on April 23, around 7 pm. He said events leading up to the trag!c incident unfolded when Evans and Elvis visited Mr. Forever Sikochi’s homestead.
Mr. Sikochi is the younger brother of the deceased. “‘On the fateful day, the suspects were at home together with their parents, Kennedy Mupamhanga and Monica Mupamhanga, where they had a misunderstanding over the issue of not filling their Jojo tank with water. The two suspects then left their parents and proceeded to Forever Sikochi’s homestead on the same farm and questioned him about why he had not filled the tank,'” said Insp. Mahoko.
He explained that a misunderstanding ensued over the issue, and the suspects force-marched Mr. Sikochi towards Kwekwe-Gokwe Road, thre@tening to k!ll him. On their way, he said they allegedly encountered their now deceased uncle, who was coming from Kadoma. “Suddenly, they confronted Kiddny, @ccusing him of reporting a case of th3ft of a firearm against them.”
