“Varane’s departure has been expected since January, and it has now been officially confirmed that he will not be extending his contract with the club.”
During his time at Manchester United, Varane made 93 appearances for the Premier League giants and played a key role in their successful campaign to win the EFL Cup. His departure marks the end of a three-year stint with the Red Devils.
In a heartfelt message to the fans, Varane expressed his gratitude for their support and promised to bid farewell to Old Trafford during the last home game of the season. While his time at Manchester United may be coming to an end, Varane’s impact on the club and its supporters will be remembered fondly as he embarks on the next chapter of his career.

Varane going before lesser defenders to save wages is weird. And injuries can’t be the reason when other defenders are just as injury prone. We better be signing 2 decent CB’s

One of the few players who knew what it meant to wear the Man Utd shirt.
Sad to see you leave before the likes of Maguire, Lindelof and Evans who i think should all see the exit door.
Gracias Raphael Varane #mufc

Always sad to see a player with the quality and CV of Raphael Varane depart #MUFC. Unsurprisingly Varane remains classy until the end.
Factoring in fitness and wages, I think it’s the right call for all parties.
