Popular comedian Tafadzwa Musadongora known as Musa Vines was recently apprehended in the central business district during the filming of one of his skits, where he impersonated a woman.
Vines, who gained fame on TikTok, typically dresses in women’s clothing for his performances, often wearing a trademark black dress with white lines, along with a scruffy wig and crimson red lipstick.
His skits sometimes involve pretending to urinate under a footbridge on Speke Avenue, which often elicits confrontations with disgusted members of the public, unaware that they are part of a recorded performance.
During one such performance, Vines was confronted and subsequently arrested by officers of the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP). Despite his pleas and explanation that he was filming for TikTok and engaging in comedy, the officers remained unmoved. They confiscated his wig and informed him that he would be detained overnight.
People have varied sentiments online after Musa Vines was arrested for dressing like a woman.
