The SADC Secretariat, represented by Mr. Elias Magosi, conveyed its satisfaction with Zimbabwe’s readiness to host the SADC Heads of State and Government Summit scheduled for August this year.
During a courtesy visit to Vice President General Retired Dr. Constantino Chiwenga in Harare this Tuesday evening, Mr. Magosi expressed contentment with the country’s preparations for the upcoming summit.
“Our observations as SADC are aligned with the efforts undertaken by Zimbabwe. The nation is progressing according to the expectations set by the SADC Secretariat,” he remarked.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa is anticipated to assume the chairmanship of the regional bloc during the SADC summit in August this year, further underscoring Zimbabwe’s pivotal role in the region.
