The rehabilitation of Samora Machel road in the Central Business District (CBD) is currently underway, with asphalt being applied from Julius Nyerere way towards the Rotten Row intersection.
The initiative follows extensive refurbishment efforts in anticipation of the 44th Southern African Development Community (SADC) Heads of State and Government Summit scheduled for August in Harare.
Recently, the completion of the refurbishment of the 25-kilometer stretch from Julius Nyerere Way via Bindura Road underscores the government’s dedication to accommodating the expected influx of delegates.
As Harare undergoes a transformation in preparation for the SADC Summit, these infrastructure enhancements carry broader implications, aligning with the government’s aim of achieving Zero Tolerance to Potholes.

Wonderful job, thanks to @edmnangagwa . However, street lighting and pavements along those CBD roads that are being face-lift are of paramount importance in enhancing the final outlook of the City.

A whole ministry dedicating space to inform us of the laying of TAR and Varakashi thanking the junta leader for it, is the saddest part in our country.

Please please please l beg, kindly call me before you mark the road. The carriage markings so far are a disaster, look at how they’re causing confusion at L Takawira and J Tongogara from Pari, how many times have you marked the road and remove the marks and mark again?
