Lawyers representing former President Donald Trump have reportedly issued a cease-and-desist letter to the creators of “The Apprentice” movie, objecting to the depiction of him violently raping Ivana Trump.
Trump’s attorneys are demanding that the filmmakers refrain from seeking a distribution deal in the U.S.
“It is a concoction of lies that repeatedly defames President Trump and constitutes direct foreign interference in America’s elections,” stated the letter.
“If you do not immediately cease and desist all distribution and marketing of this libelous farce, we will be forced to pursue all appropriate legal remedies.”

The filmmakers have until today, to respond with their agreement to comply with this demand.
In defense, the filmmakers have described the movie as “fair and balanced.”
The film debuted at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, stars Sebastian Stan as a teenage Donald Trump, Jeremy Strong from “Succession” as Roy Cohn, Trump’s mentor, Maria Bakalova as Ivanka Trump, and Martin Donovan as Fred Trump Sr. Ali Abbasi directed the biopi was written by Gabriel Sherman.
