Harare Mayor Jacob Mafume commissioned a new batch of service delivery equipment at Rufaro Stadium yesterday.
During the event, Mafume had the opportunity to inspect the equipment and learn about its operation.
According to sources, the newly purchased equipment is expected to significantly improve garbage collection and transportation to the Pomona dump site. Additionally, schools are anticipated to benefit from the new equipment.
In recent years, Harare residents have criticized the council’s failure to enhance service delivery. Last year, residents petitioned Parliament to compel the City Council to address the persistent water challenges in the capital.
