Renowned comedian Freddy “Kapfupi” Manjalima claims to have failed in life due to spiritual and w!tchcraft att@cks.
Kapfupi has taken to social media, alleging that something is wrong with his family after realising that his career struggles were not ordinary.
He has attributed his lack of success as a musician and comedian to the influence of close friends and relatives who, he believes, are using w!tchcraft against him. This issue, he claims, has also affected his son, an aspiring musician who has been in the industry for over five years without significant progress.
In a statement seen by Newsreportzim.com through Kapfupi stated, “W!tchcraft has destr0yed my life. I have close friends and relatives who don’t want me to succeed. They are using juju to try to bring me down,” he said. “Even if I get financial help today, I don’t think that will be enough to bring my career back. I first need to be cleansed of the evil spirits that are haunting me.”
“My son Clive is also struggling in the music industry, and I believe it is because of the same spell that is affecting me. Anyone who is willing to assist can get in touch with me. I need to act so that my son does not suffer like me.
He is now five years into the music industry, yet he has nothing to show for it. There is certainly something wrong with our family.”
At the height of his career, Manjalima performed alongside music greats like Alick “Baba Sharo” Macheso and the late Tongai “Dhewa” Moyo. He was the main act, with artists like Jah Prayzah and Simon Mutambi opening for him. He even toured the UK.
In 2010, he won the Song of the Year award at the National Arts Merit Awards.
