Tragedy has struck a Bulawayo man named Canaan Torovei, who is in his 30s.
Canaan was hit by a car and is currently hospitalised at Mpilo Hospital.
Torovei, who has no known family or next of kin, sustained fractures in both legs and is admitted to Ward A1 at Mpilo Hospital. Facing imminent discharge without assistance, he is unable to afford his hospital bills or other necessities.
Nozizwe Iris Zemza Mhlanga, founder of Nozizwe Mother of Nations Trust, has pledged to provide Torovei with a wheelchair for his mobility after the necessary implants have been installed.
Torovei requires metal implants costing USD 1,300. Half of this amount has already been raised by well-wishers. Anyone wishing to assist Canaan Torovei can contact News Report Online News or Adrian Moyo, who is coordinating the fundraising efforts, at +263 773 218 243.
