The Immigration Department of Zimbabwe has received two new deportation vehicles.
The Immigration Chief Director, Ms. Respect Gono, was delighted to receive these vehicles as they will facilitate easier access to immigrants.
According to sources, the department had been yearning for these vehicles, and receiving them is considered a great achievement.
It is reported that these vehicles can carry a total capacity of 70 people, are air-conditioned, and transport deportees in a humane manner.

Furthermore, Minister Hon. Kazembe Kazembe and the Permanent Secretary, along with other senior government officials, toured the Department of Immigration’s ICT section.
The ICT section houses the recently completed Department of Immigration Control Main Data Centre, which provides e-services for the Online Border Management system.
The delegation also had the opportunity to tour the warehouse where 96% of the equipment is stored.
Pending delivery is the e-gate system, an automated system for processing entry and exit at the country’s ports of entry.
