In shocking events, a Kenyan Magistrate was sh0t and !njured on the th!gh by a police officer taking revenge for his wif3 who was sent3nced to life imprisonment at the Makadara Law Courts in Nairobi.
Magistrate Monica Kivuti presided the officer’s wife’ case and sentenced her to life imprisonment and it is alleged that after she was sh0t, the officer was also sh0t and k!lled by his colleagues during the active court session.
“The Magistrate cancelled the bond for an accused person who had jumped bond and had failed to offer satisfactory explanations for jumping bond. Immediately this decision was pronounced, a person shot at the Magistrate and injured her on the hip,” said the Judiciary in a statement on the incident.
The incident has raised concerns over safety and security of all court users particularly the judicial officers.
