M0urners m0urning Eddie “Mboma” Nyatanga (62) have congregated in two different locations: Mount Pleasant and Borrowdale.
The incident developed when some m0urners gathered in Borrowdale Brooke, where Nyatanga resided with his wife Angeline, while others gathered in Mount Pleasant, where he lived with his first wife, Virginia.
Nyatanga, the founding president of Zimbabwe’s National Soccer Supporters Association, di3d on Wednesday morning. The de@th was confirmed by his nephew, Edmore Nyatanga.
Nyatanga is remembered for spearheading efforts to rally support for the senior national football team, the Warriors. He established the Zimbabwe National Soccer Supporters Association, which brought together national team fans under a single board.
Nyatanga was also instrumental in arranging supporters to travel to Tunisia for the Warriors’ first appearance at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2004. He is survived by two spouses and thirteen children.
Nyatanga will be bur!ed on Sunday at Glen Forest Cemetery, which is located on the outskirts of Harare.
According to reports, his b0dy will lie in state at Borrowdale Brooke tonight and Mount Pleasant tomorrow before being bur!ed.
