Former CCC Vice Chairperson and Zengeza West MP, Job Sikhala, today, on the 14th of June, commemorated the anniversary of his arrest two years ago.
Sikhala was apprehended at his residence in St. Mary’s, Chitungwiza.
On his X, Sikhala wrote the following:
“This day, two years ago, on the 14th of June 2022, the criminal regime in Harare, surrounded my house in St. Mary’s, Chitungwiza with troops from the police support unit, the military, and the Central Intelligence Organisation to arrest me for no apparent reason except persecution and kept me for 595 days under pre-trial incarceration at the notorious Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison.”
“The criminal regime intended to spread insecurity and fear among the citizens of my country that if you dare us, we will throw you into prison like what we have done to Job Sikhala.”
“Even Public Prosecutors like the recently convicted solicitor of bribes, Pardon Dziva were using my incarceration as the bait to entice their victims of bribery by mentioning my name that, “I am Pardon Dziva, the public Prosecutor at Harare Magistrates Court who has sent Job Sikhala to prison.”
“You can Google about me, “when he has never been involved in the case. This is how far overzealous state actors can become when they are used to doing the hatchet job for their master.”
“It is this very evil, which I will not stop exposing to the world. It is this very evil that has made me resolve, and during my lifetime, that i will not recant in making sure that the evil regime is gone.”
“The corrupt criminal regime has no mandate from the citizens of Zimbabwe to preside over our state of affairs. It has been rejected, it is being despised, and the masses of our people have deep-seated resentment against it and that it is living on borrowed times. The fall of this criminal regime is imminent, and nothing will stop it.”
“The hour of our people’s victory has arrived, and nothing will save the demise of this evil regime.”
