Zimbabwe is hosting the 15th International Military Sports Golf Tournament (CISM) at the Elephant Hills Golf Course in Victoria Falls, organised by the Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF).
The event has drawn participants from 16 defence forces globally.
The International Military Sports Golf Tournament commenced on Monday, June 17th, and is scheduled to conclude on Saturday.
As reported by the Ministry of Information, Publicity, and Broadcasting Services’ X post, newsreportzim.com has learned that the Zimbabwe Defence Forces are hosting this prestigious event.
“The tournament has attracted 16 countries, including Canada, Germany, South Africa, Kenya, France, Namibia, Denmark, Ireland, Botswana, Spain, Zambia, Kazakhstan, Tanzania, among others.”
Notably, this marks the third time that CISM has been held in Africa.
CISM, an international sports association established in 1948 and headquartered in Brussels, aims to promote sporting activities and physical education among defence forces worldwide, with the overarching goal of fostering World Peace under its motto: “Friendship through sport.”
