Chelsea have lined up Atlético Madrid’s Samu Omorodion as an alternative to Aston Villa’s Jhon Durán, as the London club hunt for a new striker.
In recent transfer updates on Chelsea, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Atlético Madrid have rejected formal bid from Chelsea for Samu Omorodion around €30m plus add-ons.
“Atlético Madrid have rejected today(18.06.24) formal bid from Chelsea for Samu Omorodion around €30m plus add-ons up to €40m package,” he said.
“Chelsea keep considering Omorodion and Jhon Durán as options for new striker.”
Atlético Madrid insist on their plan to keep Samu Omorodion but Chelsea’s new head coach, Enzo Maresca does not want to go into the new season with Nicolas Jackson as his only senior striker.
