The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) has arrested ZANU PF Councillor for Ward 11, Seke in Chitungwiza, for allegedly subdividing and selling land belonging to the late former Minister, Mr. Amos Midzi, in Beatrice.
The arrest of Patson Chipunza came to light after the co-executor of the estate of the late Midzi discovered the fraud and reported the matter to ZACC.
As reported by ZACC on its X handle account, Newsreportzim.com has learned that ZANU PF Councillor Patson Chipunza of Ward 11, Seke in Chitungwiza, has been arrested.
“ZACC has arrested ZANU PF Councillor for Ward 11, Seke, Patson Chipunza on charges of fraudulently subdividing and selling land belonging to the late former Minister of Mines and Mining Development, Mr Amos Midzi’s Estate,” the statement reads.
Chipunza is expected to appear in court on the 19th of June facing charges of fraudulently subdividing and selling land belonging to the late former Minister Midzi
