Shaun Timba, son of ex-senator and interim Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) leader Jameson Timba, has been granted bail set at US$100. Shaun was arrested alongside 78 others at the CCC faction leader’s Avondale home, accused of participating in an unauthorised gathering.
According to his lawyers, Shaun Timba was at the location to deliver a Father’s Day gift when the arrests occurred. Meanwhile, the bail hearing for the other accused individuals is still ongoing.
Jameson Timba and 78 other CCC activists were detained on Sunday for allegedly holding an unauthorised political meeting.

The situation reportedly escalated into vi0lence, with activists allegedly resisting arrest and clashing with law enforcement officers, resulting in several CCC members sustaining !njuries during the confrontation.
