Promise Mkwananzi, the Zimbabwean opposition politician and national spokesperson for the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) party said Mnangagwa’s regime is tarnishing it’s own image.
Taking to his social media account X, Mkwananzi call for the release of CCC activists who were further remanded in custody.
“Mnangagwa’s regime tarnishing it’s own image unprovoked. If he had let these people celebrate their day in peace, it would be over and we wouldn’t be where we are now. Free the Avondale 78,” the post reads.
Mkwananzi’s remarkable words came after the Zimbabwe Republic Police arrest 80 CCC activist including their leader Jameson Timba.
Opposition activists appeared in court twice and they were further remanded in custody awaiting the finalisation of their bail.
