In strange events, villagers along the Nyamapanda highway, 30km before Mutoko centre, have reported strange and mysterious occurences on the red abandoned bus by the roadside.
According to sources, the bus has been abandoned for over 7 months and as a result, the tyres are deflated and its colour faded due to harsh weather conditions.
The owner is allegedly in South Africa and villagers are concerned on whether they will attend to the breakdown and retrieve it.
The bus, a Hino 500 and with South African registration plates reportedly had 120 passengers coming from Malawi enroute to South Africa over six months ago when it broke down.
Concerns among these villagers have surged since less than 20km from the red bus is the white “talking” bus that was dumped along the same highway several years ago which has people suggesting its superstitious.
