After months of controversy and ongoing legal challenges, Kenya has deployed its first contingent of 400 police officers to address gang viol3nce in Haiti.
The Caribbean nation, plagued by decades of instability, has experienced escalating viol3nce since the ass@ssination of President Jovenel Moïse three years ago.
Earlier this year, rival armed groups seized control of the capital, Port-au-Prince, leading to the resignation of Prime Minister Ariel Henry weeks later.
Currently, armed gangs are estimated to control 80% of the city.
