Mpumalanga security manager, Sarel du Plessis, 52, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for sh00ting at four job seekers, f@tally w0unding one.
Sarel Petrus du Plessis, who sh0t Bhekimuzi Anele Ziko on December 5, 2018, after determining that the four were litchi thieves, was sentenced to de@th by the Mpumalanga High Court on Wednesday.
Monica Nyuswa, a spokesperson for the Mpumalanga NPA, stated that Du Plessis found that the four young males were trespassing and intended to ste@l litchis from the farm.
“He then drove towards their direction, stopped the vehicle, and took out his firearm. He started sh00ting at the v!ctims, and one d!ed while three ran away,” said Nyuswa.

Throughout the trial, Du Plessis rejected the charges brought against him. However, the testimony of the survivors, headed by Adv. Eugene Mathebula, won Du Plessis’ conviction.
According to the state, 52-year-old Du Plessis @bused his power as the district’s security manager by k!lling a defenseless young job seeker.
