President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa had an aerial tour of the roads to the New Parliament Building, Conference Centre, and Villas construction site.
The President drove on Boulevard Road and expressed his satisfaction.
“The vision we have is unfolding slowly. We are creating a new city here, and I’m happy that the vision is actualizing slowly but certainly. By August, we will have adequate facilities, but that is not the end of the vision of developing a new city,” said President Mnangagwa, as seen by Newsreportzim.com through the Ministry of Information, Publicity & Broadcasting’s X handle.
The venue for the 2024 SADC Summit of Heads of State and Government has been built under the Second Republic led by President Mnangagwa, showcasing significant progress.
Zimbabwe will host the 44th SADC Summit of Heads of State and Government and assume the Chairmanship of SADC on August 17, 2024. The Summit will be hosted at the New Parliament Building in the New City at Mt. Hampden.
Preparations are underway for the upcoming summit.
