State Police Command has arrested a 65-year-old pastor, Mr Francis Ogwu for allegedly @ssaulting his seven-year-old domestic helper .
The 65-year-old man is said to be the General Overseer of Jesus House of Joy Church.
He was arrested on Thursday, June 27, following an alarm raised by concerned neighbours. Ọgwụ, during interrogations, confessed to the Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Ify Obinabo, that he “just f!ngered the girl once” but denied other allegations of penetration as against what the seven-year-old v!ctim said.
On why he s3xually ass@ult the child, the suspect explained, “I was t3mpted because my wife usually gives excuses that she’s fasting whenever I want to have quality time with her.”
According to the 7 year old vict!m told the police that the suspect had carn@l knowledge of her three times. Also after ass@ulting the vict!m he would then give her money to keep quiet.
