Tragedy strikes religious gatherings in India.
According to local authorities, a disastrous stampede during a religious meeting in Uttar Pradesh, India, claimed the lives of at least 87 people.
The incident occurred during a prayer meeting, or satsang, in Mughal Garhi hamlet, Hathras district, about 200 kilometers southeast of New Delhi.
Local police stated that 60 people d!ed in Hathras, with an additional 27 fat@lities recorded in Etah hospital, where sufferers were taken for treatment.
The de@th toll is certain to grow when additional people are brought to hospitals in both areas.

The heartbreaking sight was captured on camera, with grieving family members gathered outside an Etah hospital as medical professionals worked diligently to evacuate !njured people on stretchers.
