The opposition party, National Democratic Working Group (NDWG) has condemned the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) commander, Anslem Sanyatwe’s that ZANU PF will rule Zimbabwe for ever.
In the video that surfaced on social media, Cde Sanyatwa passionately chants ZANU PF slogans, proclaiming “ZANU PF will rule until donkeys grow horns. Whether you like it or not.”
In a X post, the National Democratic Working Group highlighted that Sanyatwe’s behavior and statements are adverse to his constitutional responsibility and they call for his immediate resignation from ZNA.
“The National Democratic Working Group (NDWG) condemns statements made by Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) commander, Anslem Sanyatwe that only ZANU PF will lead this country even if they lose elections. His behavior and statements are adverse to his constitutional responsibility.
Sanyatwe is a threat to national peace and the democracy outlined in the constitution of Zimbabwe. We call for his immediate resignation from ZNA. The military must stay away from partisan politics!,” the statement reads.
