The remains of six-year-old Junior Mabandla, who went missing last month in Pienaar outside Mbombela in Mpumalanga, South Africa, have been found b_ried in another person’s grave.
The disturbing discovery was made after a man was apprehended on Wednesday afternoon for allegedly burning human b0dy parts.
The suspect, who is currently under police guard, reportedly revealed the location of Mabandla’s remains, leading authorities to exhume the grave and recover the body.
However, the investigation has revealed that Mabandla’s body was not intact, with some parts missing.
According to police spokesperson Donald Mdluli, the suspect will also assist in finding another three-year-old child who went missing yesterday. The child’s b0dy is expected to be exhumed today.
The police spokesperson confirmed that Mabandla’s family identified the clothes worn by the recovered remains, which were found at the graveyard.
This case has added to the growing concerns about child abductions and viol3nce in South Africa.
