A disturbing trend of elderly individuals being accused of w!tchcraft and subsequently m_rdered has shaken Kenya’s Kilifi coast.
The latest v!ctim, 74-year-old Tambala Jefwa, survived two brutal att@cks but was left with severe !njuries, including the loss of an eye.
Jefwa’s wife, Sidi, revealed that the att@cks were likely motivated by a long-standing family dispute over land boundaries, rather than genuine beliefs about w!tchcraft. The couple owns over 30 acres of land, where they farm maize and raise chickens.
Jefwa’s harrowing experience has raised concerns about the increasing number of similar incidents in the region.
Authorities were urged to investigate the true motives behind these heinous crimes and bring the perpetrators to justice.
