On July 10 2024, a significant event took place at Dombodema High School as Adelaide Nleya was officially installed as the new Chief Hikwa who is 80 years old.
This marks her leadership as the 6th Chief in the Bulilima district, following in the footsteps of distinguished predecessors such as Chief Mphini, Chiefs Masendu, Chief Madlambudzi, Chief Kandana, and Chief Manguba.
As the new Chief Hikwa, Adelaide Nleya will be responsible for overseeing three wards within her jurisdiction; Vulindlela Ward 15, Dombolefu Ward 16, and Dombodema Ward 20.
Her installation comes with great expectations from the community, who are eager to see her lead with wisdom, fairness, and integrity.
