A shocking video has surfaced on X (formerly twitter), showing a man who claims to have caught a n@ked w!tch at his home, where she was allegedly using a winnowing basket, a traditional tool believed to aid w!tches in long-distance travel.
A winnowing basket \rusero \ njiselo is used to separate chaff from grain in Shona and Ndebele cultures but in the same cultures , it is known as a ‘flying saucer’ for w!tches.
The man was clearly frightened and angry as he repeatedly asked the w!tch who she was and what her mission was.
The video captured the fear and anger in the man’s voice as he questioned the w!tch.
The man seemed to be trying to understand what she was doing at his home and what her intentions were.
The w!tch, however, remained silent, not responding to his questions.
The encounter left many viewers of the video stunned and fascinated. Some were amazed by the presence of a witch in a winnowing basket.
In Zimbabwe, w!tchcraft is still common in rural areas. Hardly a week passes without a local report or newspaper story on the practice.
Many Zimbabweans, especially those who grow up in rural areas, find it difficult to dismiss the existence of w!tchcraft.
