Argentinean international footballer, Ángel Di Maria has announced his retirement from the Argentina national team after helped his country to lift the Copa America in a row after Argentina beat colombia 1-0.
Di Maria played as a right winger or attacking midfielder for Argentina and Benfica.
The 36 year old midfielder left the Albiceleste, capping off a remarkable 16-year international career with back-to-back continental titles.
According to Fabrizio Romano, newsreportzim.com has reliably informed that Argentina and Benfica attacking midfielder Ángel Di Maria has announced his retirement from international football.
“Ángel Di Maria retires from international football with one more Copa América,” statement reads.
After the match, capped the golden medals, Di Maria expressed his gratitude to have good time to pay for his nation and won many trophies.
“It was my dream to retire from national team like this, Argentina is my love and my country. Thank you”, he told the media.
Di Maria will play one more season at Benfica, but leaving the national team.
