The Judicial Service Commission of Zimbabwe has extended their heartfelt condolences to the Moya-Matshanga family following the sudden de@th of Hon. Justice Mercy Moya-Matshanga, who collapsed at her home in Bulawayo.
On July 17th, Justice Mercy Moya-Matshanga suddenly collapsed at her home and p@ssed away upon admission to a local private hospital.
She was 61 years old.
“The Chief Justice of Zimbabwe and Chairperson of the Judicial Service Commission, Hon. Justice Luke Malaba, the Judicial Service Commissioners, the senior judges of the labour Court, Judges and Magistrates, the Secretary of Judicial Service Commission and all members of the Judicial Service would like to express deepest condolences to Moya-Matshanga family on the p@ssing on of Labour Judge, Honourable Justice Mercy Moya-Matshanga at corporate 24 Hospital in Bulawayo on Wednesday 17 July 2024,” the JSC said in a statement.
Hon. Mercy Moya-Matshanga was employed by the Judicial Service Commission of Zimbabwe as the labour judge at Bulawayo Labour Court.
She joined the Ministry of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs in 1989. In 2006, She appointed as Judge of the Labour Court of Zimbabwe.
